Doing our part to protect our beautiful planet.

Below you will find some details of our eco friendly packaging and how you can recycle it.

Protective Display Bags

We’ve switched our protective display bags from plastic to a fully compostable version, which in turn makes a huge difference on the environment! These bags are made in the UK from film that has been accredited to ‘OK biobased’ and  DIN EN 13432. They are made from annually renewable PLA derived from corn or similar starches (potato etc.) and are fully biodegradable and compostable, breaking down to CO2 and H2O. They still offer the waterproof protection needed for shipping your prints, and are transparent allowing you to clearly see your order.

Envelopes

Our white all board envelopes are made from sustainable materials, and can go on to be recycled with your cardboard and paper recycling. The only restriction is the seal, which is made from plastic and therefore this needs to be removed beforehand. We are continuing to search for an alternative envelope that is 100% recyclable, whilst providing our prints with the same protection. In the meantime we feel this is the next best option.

Backing Board

The backing board that you find in your A4 and A3 orders are made from 100% recycled materials, and can be further recycled with your paper and cardboard recycling. We use this backing board alongside our all board envelopes for our larger orders, to prevent any possible bending or damage to your prints.

Other Materials

Our thank you notes and twine are all made from recycled materials, and can all be 100% recycled at end of life.

Our logo stickers on our envelopes are made from recycled materials, but currently can not go on to being recycled, due to the adhesive. So these need to be removed from the outer envelope before recycling. We are however, on the hunt for some with a biodegradable adhesive, and we update our details accordingly.
